About me

Like many in this industry, I began working in some great agencies alongside brilliant mentors who taught me so much. I was fortunate to work on groundbreaking campaigns from conception to execution. That allowed me to see firsthand what a brilliant marketing strategy can do.

This laid an amazing foundation for me, but I was unsatisfied. I wanted to pursue something that was personally meaningful to me. As valuable as it was, my time working for agencies also exposed something that bothered me. Brands were failing to truly understand or meet the needs of the queer community. I realized I could be of meaningful service.

I transitioned into freelancing so that I could:

  • Achieve creative freedom
  • Work with brands that are queer-affirming
  • Find opportunities to advocate for inclusiveness and representation
  • Push for an ethical approach to queer marketing
  • Connect brands with advertising platforms designed for the LGBTQIA+ audience

The queer audience is one that brands should want to reach. They have significant spending power and wield great influence. But, traditional advertising often falls flat. Brands need to reach this community where they are, and that’s often in specialized platform advertising.

I can teach you and your team to effectively use ads on LGBTQIA+ platforms like Taimi, Grindr, HER, Scruff, Jack’d, Adam4Adam, and GROWLr to respectfully and authentically reach customers.

An Approach That Works

Collaboration and authenticity are the two essential components to making and placing ads that resonate with queer folks. Our goal is to honor the brand’s vision while being respectful of the audience’s needs and experiences. We get to know you and your target audience to gain insights that drive meaningful connections.

Robust Research: Each campaign starts with research. We want to understand your brand and the specific target audience you’re trying to reach within the queer community. The more we learn, the better we can help you construct relevant, inclusive, and respectful messaging. This is how we identify the “where” as well. For example, are your ads better placed on Taimi the first fluid dating app, HER where queer, female empowerment is the focus, or on Scruff where things are decidedly masculine and sex-forward.

Building a Creative Strategy: Now, it’s time to develop the creative strategies that will be the basis for some amazing ad creatives.

Execution and Optimization: This is where all of the work we do together is actualized into real advertising creatives. This is the stage in which eye-catching visuals, engaging copy, and other components are put together into ads that get results. Later, we’ll continue to analyze performance and refine strategies to maximize success.

Community Engagement: Brands that succeed in queer spaces aren’t just there to sell products. They prioritize making genuine connections and commit to supporting the community in meaningful ways. I will always work to foster those authentic connections.

A Commitment

Anyone can use buzzwords like inclusivity, diversity, and authenticity. I commit to applying these concepts in ways that go beyond the work I do on advertising campaigns. This is my community, and I will always center its wellbeing.

Let’s bring queer joy, authenticity, and relevance to LGBTQIA+ advertising. I’m ready to help you achieve your queer marketing goals.
